Canar participates in the ITU Organized Forum ‘Africa 2008'
Sudan Africa 's Gateway

Being a leading company in the telecommunication sector, Canar Telecommunication Company ltd is participating in one of the biggest telecommunication gathering in the region; The International Telecom Union (ITU) organized forum Africa 2008 . Canar's participation in this forum is considered of great significance, given its size and importance. A forum bringing together Telecommunication stakeholders in the industry from all over the globe, to discuss their most important issues and latest technologies.

Canar's participation in this forum is part of strategic plan, which through it canar aims to highlight Sudan 's crucial and strategic role in the telecommunications field, in addition to equipping the Sudan technologically to become Africa 's gateway to the World.

Canar's participation in this major high class event comes as a result of being one of the leading telecom providers offering the latest Information and Telecommunications technologies in the region. These state of the art technologies are not just available in the Sudan but also to neighboring countries, who have benefited immensely from these technologies. This in addition to Canar's continuous pursuance of developing the telecommunication sector in the region, and achieving a number of strategic goals and key accomplishment which the whole region profited from (connecting Sudan and Africa to the International submarine cable FLAG).

Canar's CEO Mr. Ali Bin Jarsh stated that Canar's participation in this event is an outcome of the important role that the company plays in the telecom field in the region. He also stated that Canar's has taken an oath to work harder to make Sudan an vital regional hub and to become Africa's gateway to the world, this in addition to intensifying it's efforts to develop and equip national Sudanese professionals in order to uplift and develop the telecom sector in the Sudan. Mr. Bin Jarsh also added that it's a great honor for Canar to be representing the Sudan in such an important regional event.

H.E Abdel Moniem Mabrouk, the Sudanese Ambassador in Egypt visited Canar at the ITU Forum, and extended his appreciation to the role that the company plays in development of the telecommunication field. He also paid a visit to Etislat's section in the exhibition/forum and expressed his admiration of the latest technologies used and developed by this leading telecom company.
