Canar Communications Company Launches Its Network

In a historic gathering, headed by Marshal Omer Hassan Ahmad Al Bashir  President of the Republic of the Sudan and attended by a number of Ministers, Ambassadors, businessmen and Communication experts, as well as media representatives,  Canar  Telecommunication Company has launched its modern network that uses the Next Generation Network (NGN) applications, which relies on the internet based protocols IP.  To provide its services, the company shall rely on other advanced technologies, including fiber optics cables and wireless networks in order to provide (DSL) high speed Internet, data and telephone services, which will rank the Sudan within the first countries that use such technologies in their networks and pave the way for all the Sudanese sectors to benefit from such highly sophisticated and high-quality services to all the the Sudanese community.

In his speech, Mr. Mohammed Hassan Umran Chairman of Board of Directors of the company has reaffirmed that: "The Emirates Telecommunication Corporation (Etisalat) aspires to build up a long term strategic continuing partnership with the Sudanese government and other vital sectors of the Sudanese community through which it can Make available it's potentialities for Canar Telecommunication Company to provide excellent high-quality services for the benefit of this country in order to contribute in pushing forward the wheel of the development  and rehabilitating its human resources.

He further added that the Emirates
Telecommunication Corporation, with its long diversified experience, based on its continuing endeavor to widen the scope of its operations domestically, regionally and internationally, has limitlessly, provided its support to avail Canar with all hi-tech and up-to-date equipment and highly qualified human resources to ensure excellence and high performance so that Canar shall be the ideal model to follow in the field of investment in the Sudan.  He also reiterated that that this approach will continue so that the Company shall become a pioneer in this respect.

In his speech, Canar Telecommunication's Managing Director Mr. Saood Al Jenaibi has welcomed the audience displaying the role played by Canar's network in providing up-to-date Telecommunication services to the Sudanese people.  He furthermore, emphasized the important development that the company has introduced in the field of telecommunication and information technology presenting the Company's strategy in contributing to the Sudanese community

Al Jenaibi, has equally indicated in his speech that Canar's objective is to contribute in this very critical stage of Sudan history where the nation is stiffing to achieve sustainable development and promote the livelihood of its citizens. Canar's objective is to contribute in providing all technical and technological innovations in order to develop the telecommunication infrastructures in the Sudan as well as promoting the technical capacities of its national human resources which will be ultimately reflected on developing the Sudanese society.  Accordingly, the company endeavors to exert more efforts to carry out this message by developing stronger strategic partnerships in all fields supported by its highly qualified staff.  Therefore,  to provide its customers with unique telecommunication services that cope with and meet the requirements of the 21st century.

Mr. Al Jenaibi added that this celebration was meant to launch the network while confirming that the sales campaign will be announced later.

The programme consisted of a speech delivered by the H.E. State Minister of Information and Telecommunications, Mr. Farah Ibrahim Al Aqqar and another speech delivered by Canar's Chairman of Board of Directors Mr. Hassan Umran. A presentation about the evolution of telecommunication technology was made together with a historical background about Canar.  This celebration was concluded by a musical concert by the singer Mohammad Al Ameen and the musician Al Fatih Hussein .

It is worth mentioning here that the launch of Canar fixed line, data and Internet, services reinforce the revolution that the information and communication technology is witnessing together with the new potentialities provided by this sector in the Sudan.  This will undoubtedly enhance the level of competition between other companies working in this field for the benefit of the Sudanese citizens and customers who will have access to so many new multiple options.
